This has got to be the coolest office furniture ever. It’s Han Solo frozen in carbonite for goodness sake. How cool is that? This comes to us thanks to the very talented prop designer Tom Spina. I think I’m gonna go ahead and order one of these and maybe also install a sliding bench/bed that opens to reveal my underground Rancor chamber.

It’s confirmed that Jim Ward has resigned from LucasArts “for personal reasons”. He will be leaving the company in a couple of weeks. It has been said that Ward’s departure will not impact release dates or development schedules for any of LucasArts’ games. Thank goodness for that. I’m looking forward to the April 1st release date of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
How many times have we been bit in the arse by a crappy Star Wars game? It’s hard to even count the number anymore. Keep your heads held high Star Wars fanboys the near future looks grand. Star Wars Force Unleashed is coming in April and it looks awesome. Check out this development video on some of the new force powers, word of warning, your face may melt off after seeing it.
You can see parts 1 and part 2 also check them out they are sweet as well.
Thanks Gametrailers
I love Lego’s! There I said it . Yea that’s right I love em. Nothing brings me back to my youth as all the sweet Lego stuff that flows around the Internet. There are some really good ones and some really bad ones, but as they flow into my feed reader I can’t help but feel warm. So I decided I would make my list of my favorite Lego’s that I’ve run across. Wether it’s an official Lego creation or something custom they are all great. So here we go……
The word epic is tossed around allot today. I for one have been reluctant in the past to use epic when describing video games. Well today I choose to use epic for a video game. That game is Mass Effect. The shear scale of this game is pretty amazing. I feel I must start this by saying that I am not the biggest RPG fan out there. Yea I loved KOTOR, but that was Star Wars and I like me some Star Wars. Besides KOTOR I’ve never played a RPG I loved until Mass Effect. I really wasn’t even all that stoked on this game in the first place, but in the spirit of equal opportunity I gave Mass Effect a chance. I sure am glad I did. More…
This game just moved up a few notches on my anticipated games for this year. It’s now confirmed that Bandai Namco Games are adding Lord of the Sith himself, Darth Vader, and mean green force machine, Master Yoda, to the line-up of playable characters in the upcoming Soul Calibur IV. Watch the video and be amazed. Thanks to Gaming Today for the original article.
With this move they may have single handedly expanded the franchise beyond the current fan-base. Just think about it. Star Wars games sell no matter what. The fans are rabid. Fanatical even. People will now buy this game without ever playing a Soul Calibur game. This has got to be the best “secret” character since they had Link in the Gamecube’s Soul Calibur.
Boom!
When was the last time something totally captured your heart and your beer gut at one time. As short lived as Porkins life in Star Wars was, he is still a true classic. With his trusty AstroKeg droid by his side he gallantly fought the Empire giving his life for the cause.
This is a fitting tribute to the great Porkins, don’t you think. I am a sucker for Legos and Star Wars so if they are combined its even better. This little beauty was done by Mike Crowley aka Count Blockula. He’s been doing this little models for years and they are pretty cool check them all out here at CountBlockula.com.
It could be. This is one of the newest editions to the official Star Wars store. It’s the adorable ‘Mighty Muggs’ renditions of some of the franchise’s favorite characters. Despite the name, it’s not actually a mug. Along with Darth Vader they’ve also got a Darth Maul, Chewbacca, Han Solo, and Storm Trooper. Each one is only $12.99. I’m thinking it could be a great gift for the Star Wars fan that already has everything else. Kinda reminds me of a Lego man with those hands.
Toy!
Hey guys, I found something you might like….Ryan Wieber and Michael Scott AKA Dorkman joined forces and created an incredible “laser show”. It’s very much a Star Wars-ish film. It’s pretty neat how they did the spark elements. These were done live with the help of the detonation films crew. (www.detonationfilms.com) FYI there is a lot of royalty free footage you can get from them and some really cheap stuff or for HD Films go to (www.detfilmsHD.com ) which is a branch site. Ryan vs. Dorkman was filmed in a tortilla factory in Atlanta Georgia. (In the A-T-L Baby!) The restaurant is called Los Amigos Tortillas. Thank you to Rueben for letting them use the factory for FREE! So check the films out @ www.ryanvsdorkman.com. Or on YouTube.

Another video game rumor seems to be coming true. Lucasarts and Bioware have made an announcement that they will work togeither to release a new interactive entertainment product. Will it be the rumored KOTOR MMO? We shall see.
“LucasArts has a deep commitment to developing compelling stories and characters for the unique medium of interactive entertainment, and we have been searching for a developer that shares this value. We found this in BioWare,” said Jim Ward, president of LucasArts. “Through our previous collaborations, we know that BioWare has an impressive ability to blend gripping stories with technological advancements, and we believe that our upcoming product will deliver an experience that will span the traditional boundaries of video game entertainment.”
“BioWare’s mission is to deliver the best story and character-driven games in the world, delivering powerful emotional experiences to our fans.” said Ray Muzyka, chief executive officer, BioWare Corp. Added Greg Zeschuk, president of BioWare Corp., “The collaboration with LucasArts allows us to combine our passion for creating high quality and innovative experiences with those of a company dedicated to bringing only the finest games to market.”
Everyone seems to want this so my guess is that it will be.
