When was the last time you enjoyed a Sonic the Hedgehog game? I honestly can’t remember. Well Sonic Unleashed might just change that. This debut trailer gives me some hope that I might enjoy a Sonic game once again. No release date yet but look for it on Xbox 360 and PS3.
Check out the video after the break and tell us what you think
Got Rainbow Six: Vegas 2? Already tired of all the multiplayer maps and ready for a new one? Yeah! Comcast has got you covered. Think of this as more of actual “game” advertising, not just “in-game” advertising. Comcast, you know, the cable company, has decided to offer a free Vegas 2 map entitled the “Comcast Event Map”, ta da! You don’t have to be a Comcast subscriber to get’ em either, you don’t even have to like Comcast (just don’t tell them).
Here’s what you gotta do. Load up the game, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. Go to the “Extras” menu from the main screen. Select “Comcast Gift” from the options. Then, enter the code “Comcast Faster” (without the quotes) when prompted and enjoy the new multi-player map.
If you’re a PC gamer, you’ll have to wait. Sorry, no map for you just yet. However, you can keep checking back at this link. They say they’ll have the map for you guys soon.
Boom!
The next installment in the popular Battlefield series, Bad Company, is coming out this June for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. However, some lucky gamer’s will have the opportunity to play it early. PC gamer’s that happen to be members of either IGN Founders’ Club or IGN Insider will be offered a beta key, while supplies last. Beta keys will also be given out from a number of IGN site’s like, IGN.com, FilePlanet, GameSpy, TeamXbox, Planet Battlefield and Voodoo Extreme.
For console gamer’s only the Xbox 360 will be included in the beta, sorry PS3. To get in to the 360 beta you’ve got to pre-order the game form GameStop.
In North America, GameStop will also offer keys on a first come, first serve basis for this Exclusive Beta Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network event. With only 5,000 beta keys available at GameStop, gamers should pre-order their copy now at GameStop
.
This is a Multiplayer Only beta, similar to the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer beta last year. The beta will only include 2 maps to play on. It will, however, have a number of play modes and weapon upgrades to explore.
Boom!
Could it be? Does the PS3 have more and better exclusives this year? Looks like 2008 may possibly be the year of the Playstation, again. Just like old times.
Is it just me or is almost every big game coming out this year a sequel? No matter what console you’re on. Either way, you got to be excited about something on the list. If the majority of these games actually release this year, wow. But does anyone really expect that? So, let’s jump in and analyze the exclusives. Note, this list in no way represents the entire list of exclusive titles for each console. It does, however, represent what we at Counteragent think are the biggest exclusives most likely to actually be released this calender year.
Well I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. Without HD DVD as competition Blu-Ray would increase in price. According to Pricegrabber.com Blu-Ray players are starting to creep back up in price. Granted they are about the same price as what they were a year ago, they average around $400, but they are still to much.
Imagine for a minute if there hadn’t been HD DVD at all. The price for Blu-Ray would be insane, well even more insane then they are now. As long as your gonna be buying a Blu-Ray player might as well just buy a PS3 it’s the same price.
Thanks Gizmodo
Ok so maybe this isn’t a new video but it’s still pretty sweet. Plus this ones in English so you can understand it…..well kinda. I haven’t seen this before today and I gotta say “THIS LOOKS PRETTY GOOD”. That’s right I said it, MGS4 looks pretty good. Although my favorite part is at 4:03 when Snake humps the ground. Enjoy the video.
Thanks Gametrailers. Video after the break.

You want to know what you can spend your hard earned money on every week? Tired of pimping your sister out to buy the latest game only to find out it was released weeks ago? This is where The Weekly Release comes in. Every week we’ll tell you what’s new, and what to buy!
This week is highlighted by 3 titles. If you can’t guess which ones they are…well then perhaps you shouldn’t be buying them. If you want some serious cooperative gaming action, then you want EA’s Army of Two for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. If playing by yourself is more your game, perhaps you’ll want the throne room friendly God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PSP. And finally, if you like school girl outfits and kissing boys - well then Rockstar Games’ Bully: Scholarship Edition is right up your slingshot!

Once again from the no-brain-er category comes the news that WipEout HD, the upcoming PS3 game, will have fully customizable soundtracks. Thank you!! Any racing game or sports game should have this feature, don’t ya think?
Last game I made a soundtrack for was a Tony Hawk game a long time ago. Even though the soundtrack for the THPS games is usually decent there’s nothing like having your own soundtrack.
Thanks Joystiq
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition was, in my opinion, one of the best “next-gen” games last year. Yeah, there were a lot of good games in 2007, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, Uncharted, the list goes on, but I think, for it’s part, Lost Planet was a great gaming experience.
It was one one of the first great games of last year. I don’t just mean last year, as in November or December. I mean last year as in January. That’s right, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for Xbox 360 was released in January of 2007. Consequently, you can also pick that up for less than $30 bucks. Then again, the PS3 version should be less than most new PS3 titles, at around $40. Plus the PS3 version contains all the downloadable content you’ve had to pay for on the Xbox. So, that’s cool.
June 12th 2008….mark it on your calender PS3 owners because according to a post over at Kotaku.com that’s the day Metal Gear Solid 4 will be hitting stores. This news comes from the Destination Playstation conference. There is also a rumor of a PS3 bundle with the 80 gb PS3 a dual shock controller and the game.
Sounds pretty sweet although the 12th is a Thursday so this may not be concrete.
Thanks Kotaku
