Victorian Gaslight Justice League

The Justice League has gone through many revisions, variations, and re-imaginings over the years. The Victorian Gaslight Justice League has to be one of the most unique versions of the Justice League. It’s inspired by the comic book, Gotham by Gaslight by Mike Mignola and Brian Augustyn. Set in 1880’s, Batman attempts to stop Jack the Ripper, who has come to Gotham. These figures where designed by Sillof’s Workshop. The funniest one has to be Aquaman with the whole fish bowl head thing. Boy, he just can’t catch a break.

This is just good old funny. Take one of the best young movie comics of today, Michael Cera. Take one of the funniest guys out there right now, Zach Galifianakis. Now mix them into a uncomfortable interview and what do you get? Pure comic GOLD!!! This is from funnyordie.com.

So it’s a slow news day and I thought I’d post a bunch of Iron Man stuff I’ve seen around and been collecting the past few days. The first picture comes to us from Arvo, Lego designer extraordinaire. Check out more of his Lego creations here. [Newsarama]

Social networking is all the rage these days so why wouldn’t Iron Man have his own MySpace page? In fact, he does. Well actually, the upcoming Iron Man movie has a page. If you just can’t get enough Iron Man and you need another MySpace friend, check it out.

The Iron Man movie already has some cool action figures. Want to see ‘em before they’re released. Marvelous News has you covered. Check ‘em out.

Finally the newest movie still gives us an amazing shot of Iron Man standing tall and looking good. I’m not sure whether this is a photo or a CG rendering, either way it looks amazing and I can’t wait until next May. I’m also throwing in an older shot you may not have seen. Because it’s just as amazing.

Incredible!

Here’s the link. After premiering the first 6 minutes at the Imax of I Am Legend, the official trailer is online (not the first 6 min.).

Joker!

It seems neither one wants to face the camera. Maybe they just don’t want to show too much of Heath Ledger as the Joker before the movie’s release. Here’s Batman.

Check the site ‘A Taste For The Theatrical‘ tomorrow, Sunday Dec. 16th for a special treat. It says stuff like “watch this space”, and “this Sunday, it’s what you’ve been waiting for”. Probably a real trailer or something.

Sequel!

“I think it’s just up to the fans. They should just let me know.” That’s what Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson said to a journalist when deciding whether to play the superhero Shazam, or the on again, off again, heroish, villainish, Black Adam. While the studio originally offered him the lead heroic role of Captain Marvel, they also mentioned the anti-hero Black Adam. Right now it looks like he’s leaning toward Black Adam. Only time will tell. We’ll just have to wait and see if Dwayne is Captain Marvel or Black Adam, Good or Evil, Black or White. If he were Eddie Murphy he could just play both parts.

Mixed!

The new video from SpikeTV’s VGAs actually looks like it might be a decent game. At least the graphics look good.

Boom!

superlame_site_pic.jpg

That’s right everybody. The Counter Agent Network (C.A.N. is kind of a crappy acronym) is born. We have just added the new site SuperLame.com to our hopefully expanding network. So you ask, “What is SuperLame.com?” Well, I’ll tell you. It’s your online source for Movies, TV, Comics, Cartoons, Pop Culture, Art, Music, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Nerdliness, The Internets, Food & Drink, etc… It’s a great new place for all the great geeky, nerdy, awesome stuff in the world of underground pop culture. If that even makes sense? Just check it out, maybe you can help me describe it.

In addition to adding this site to the newly formed CounterAgent Network, we will also be refining what CounterAgent is. It will now include only games, tech, and music. That’s all. Check out SuperLame.com!

Announced sometime yesterday was the newest addition to the cast for the upcoming Justice League movie. It’s the O.C’s Seth, Adam Brody. While this casting may initially seem a little odd, remember that his character Seth was not only into comic books, but he actually drew and made his very own (don’t ask me why I know this). He starred in his comic and now will be donning his very own live action tights for Justice League.

O.C!
