We’ve heard it all before “MOVIE GAMES SUCK!!!” Unfortunately that is really true. I’ve tried to think of one good one and I really can’t. Maybe the Iron Man game will be good? At least this video looks pretty good. It’s pretty and action packed. Worst thing about the upcoming game and movie…. we will all be sick of the song “Iron Man”. Enjoy!

Here are some release dates:
MySims Kingdom for Nintendo DS and Wii should be released in the beginning of October and the end of December.
MySims for PC to be out about the same time.
MySims Party for Nintendo DS and Wii to be released between January and March 2009.
SimCity Creator will be out sometime before 2011. When exactly? I dunno.
SimAnimals to be by the end of March 2009.
Wow that is a lot of Sims. I’m still working on Sims 2 Open for business. I haven’t sold my first flower arrangement yet. If you gotta tip, let me know. I need me some simoleons people! Oh, and I hope you enjoy the video I made. Those Sims are always up to no good.

Has anyone else noticed how much pointing goes on in the Capcom Ace Attorney series? Don’t get me wrong, the games are great, but I just think it’s kinda funny how much pointing is used. I gathered together just a few examples of the extreme pointing of Ace Attorney.

Anyway, the game also happens to be in stores now. If you’re not familiar with the series of DS games, here’s a brief rundown:

• Microphone can be used to yell “Objection!” and “Hold it!” as you cross examine witnesses
• All new “Crime Recreation Mode” that allows players to reveal hidden clues by re-creating the scene of the crime
• Two distinct gameplay segments, Investigation phase – survey crime scenes, interview witnesses and gather evidence that will be used in court. And Court phase – present findings from the investigation to support your case, listen to testimonies and examine witnesses
• Diverse cast of characters where Apollo Justice is the new main character who leads the series into a new chapter

While Mario continues to dominate video games, his other at one time much loved company icon, Sonic the Hedgehog isn’t doing as well. Even when packaged with Mario in that Olympic Games game Sonic can’t seem to win anything.

So here’s an idea, get one of the best RPG developers, Bioware, to make a Sonic the Hedgehog RPG. Yep that’s right sometime in 2008 Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood will be released on the DS. Really a Sonic RPG??

Apple and Nintendo together at last? Fanboy heads would explode around the world if only it were true. While the two companies have a similar design style and taste, the likelyhood of them getting together and making babies is far from realistic. However, I saw this post over at DSFanboy and wondered myself what it would be like if the two did come together in an amalgam of beautiful design. This is what I came up with. Really it’s just a super thin DS, ala the Macbook Air. Add in a camera and wide screen, and boom, instant hit. Enjoy the photo, cause you’ll never see anything like this in the wild.

There’s a Mario energy drink, and we knew there was for over a year. Suddenly, after over a year of this story being out (see: Kotaku for the original post), the story resurfaces as new.

Here’s what went down. Some chick, by the name of Scuzzi, a chunky, 5′7″, chinese girl with a quick tempered dragon personality, (I didn’t say it, her Flickr profile did), posted a picture of the Mario energy drink (described only as “blue-raspberry” in flavor) to her Flickr account. Someone Diggs it (FameMoney on Digg). The Diggs pile up, currently numbering 1036. Then, everyone and their brother write a post about the drink. So, CounterAgent, in the spirit of not wanting to be left out, is also posting about this story. Why, because Super Mario is awesome, and so is Energy. And when you put the two together it doesn’t matter how old the story is, it just rocks! Everyone knows the best place to play the Nintendo DS is in the bathroom while you rest and think about your day. Who needs a newspaper when you can blast aliens and save princesses? Not me. Why do you think the DS is the most popular system around? It’s not because of the Pictochat, I can tell you that much.

Now I’ve openly hated on Nintendo, and I will continue to until they change my mind, but I must give them props because the list of Top Ten Games ever has 5 Nintendo titles on it. Good on ya Nintendo.

Today, on the heels of the free Wii remote jackets, Nintendo announced another freebie. Any one who bought or buys the new Zelda game for DS, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, can sign up on Nintendo.com and get a free feather stylus. All it is is a small piece of translucent plastic in the shape of a feather. But heck, it’s free. I ordered mine and Nintendo says I should see it in the next 4-6 weeks.

With moves like these Nintendo just keeps showing us why they deserve such a loyal fanboy following. It took Microsoft a whole year and a half before they extended the warranty on their Xbox 360’s. And those were breaking left and right.

You stay classy Nintendo.
