Yikes!! The first pics of Snake Eyes from the upcoming G.I Joe movie are floating around. He looks pretty darn awesome I think. He also is pretty scary looking too. Snake Eyes is played by your favorite cut in half Sith, Ray Park. I’ve never seen Ray Park’s face without a mask or paint but I assume he has some kind of awful scar because the guy never gets to play a role with his face showing.

The movie is supposed to be coming in 2009 so we gotta a while to wait but I always loved G.I Joe so I’m excited about it, really excited after seeing these pics.

We’ve heard it all before “MOVIE GAMES SUCK!!!” Unfortunately that is really true. I’ve tried to think of one good one and I really can’t. Maybe the Iron Man game will be good? At least this video looks pretty good. It’s pretty and action packed. Worst thing about the upcoming game and movie…. we will all be sick of the song “Iron Man”. Enjoy!

Fox and NBC Universal little video site Hulu.com is up and running. It’s been in beta for about 4 months and went live this week. If you haven’t signed up yet what are you waiting for? It’s pretty great. I’ve spent the last couple of nights catching up on shows I’ve missed.

The site has both TV shows and movies that are free to watch. I found the TV show database to be pretty good so far and according to Jason Kilar the sites CEO it is just going to grow. It’s got everything from some great new shows like The Office and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Some old classics like Doogie Howser M.D and my favorite The A Team. Even some great cartoons like Exosquad. It’s all paid for by ads so you will have to sit through 3 commercials for a 22 minute show, which is less then a real TV show unless of course you use Tivo. The quality is really good and except for a couple of buffering incidents it runs great.

Right now there are some shows that don’t have their entire catalog up yet hopefully they will soon. The movie side of it isn’t as extensive yet but still no bad at all. Although I haven’t done it yet you can cut parts out of any show or movie and share it anywhere. If this little Hulu thing works out it could put quite dent in the DVD sales of classic TV shows.

With nothing good on actual TV right now it’s the perfect time to try Hulu and catch up on episodes you may have missed.

Well I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. Without HD DVD as competition Blu-Ray would increase in price. According to Pricegrabber.com Blu-Ray players are starting to creep back up in price. Granted they are about the same price as what they were a year ago, they average around $400, but they are still to much.

Imagine for a minute if there hadn’t been HD DVD at all. The price for Blu-Ray would be insane, well even more insane then they are now. As long as your gonna be buying a Blu-Ray player might as well just buy a PS3 it’s the same price.

The Weekly Release 310

What is it with Nintendo and Sunday releases?  Do they have something against Jesus?  Either way Super Smash Bros Brawl hit retailers yesterday to much fan fare, and word on the street the game is good - or dare I say super!  Also this week is Condemned 2, hopefully still chock full of creepy mannequins and dead birds.

If you are a movie fan, Best Picture Winner No Country for Old Men hits DVD and Blu-Ray tomorrow.

Street Fighter Cast Nash and Balrog

Way back when we posted that Kristin Kreuk would be playing Chun Li in the upcoming Street Fighter : Legend of Chun Li movie. Now the cast is growing. That uber-hottie Chris Klein will be playing the part of Nash [aka Charlie]. You may remember Klein from such master-pieces as RollerBall and the American Pie series.

Also joining the cast is Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog. You may remember him as the large black man in the Green Mile and he played Kingpin in Daredevil. Duncan has quite a few video game voice acting jobs under his belt also.

Also Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas will be in the movie, Rick Yun, Moon Bloodgood, Edmund Chen, and Cheng Pei Pei were also added to the film.

Well it’s official Blu-Ray has pulled out it’s tommy gun and filled HD DVD full of lead. This will be the last you’ll hear of the HD format wars from me, because it’s over. Toshiba officially announced they will no longer be producing HD DVD ending in the next couple of months.

Sorry to all you early HD DVD adopters. Keep your heads up though, all the HD DVD stuff will be going for crazy cheap until it’s gone.

As much as we’ve seen of the whole Steampunk trend you’d think we would be tired of it, right? Well I’m not yet tired of it and it’s mostly because of sweetness like this Iron Man.

Usually AgentZero posts this kind of stuff, but I had to post this. It makes me even more excited for the movie that comes out later this year.

So it might just be a rumor but it really feels more like a “DUH!” moment. With the death of HD DVD it’s a no brain-er that Microsoft would be looking into switching over to Blu-Ray. According to the Australian site Smarthouse , Microsoft will have a Blu- Ray player by May 2008. Maybe even a Xbox with a built in Blu-Ray player.

We shouldn’t be surprised that this is gonna happen. The more surprising thing is that Microsoft already had a Blu-Ray player in development. Looks like Microsoft saw the writing on the wall much earlier then we thought.

Thanks Smarthouse

The trailer for Indy VI came out. I know Indy is old but dang this trailer is the BALLS!! I’ve heard a lot of haters out there ripping on Indy and saying “he’s to old” that this movie won’t live up to the high Indiana Jones level we know and love. Well watch the trailer and let me know what you think.

Personally I’m looking forward to it.
