Here are some release dates:
MySims Kingdom for Nintendo DS and Wii should be released in the beginning of October and the end of December.
MySims for PC to be out about the same time.
MySims Party for Nintendo DS and Wii to be released between January and March 2009.
SimCity Creator will be out sometime before 2011. When exactly? I dunno.
SimAnimals to be by the end of March 2009.
Wow that is a lot of Sims. I’m still working on Sims 2 Open for business. I haven’t sold my first flower arrangement yet. If you gotta tip, let me know. I need me some simoleons people! Oh, and I hope you enjoy the video I made. Those Sims are always up to no good.
Thanks Shacknews!

I just watched a video about Microsoft’s Surface touch-screen tabletop computer. It uses multi-touch technology. It’s kind of like the iPhone the way you can flip images and maximize with 2 fingers. But this is really neat because you can put your phone or camera on the surface (touch-screen tabletop) and it will recognize the device and let you select files you would like to share with any other devices on the surface. It looks really nice. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said they are trying to speed up the process after getting a lot of demand for a consumer version. Maybe it’ll be ready by spring. Maybe.
Thanks to Sparkingtech.com, CNetnews.com and Microsoft for the information.

Rumor has it that Venom may get his own feature film. IESB reports that “Marvel is moving forward with a new stand alone film” and that it has been confirmed that “the studio” has met recently with several “A list writers” about a spin-off film. I am so glad. I was disappointed with Spider-Man 3’s Venom. Come on…Topher Grace. Are you serious? I don’t know who they’ll get to play Venom. Maybe Vin Diesel? You never know. I just hope I’m not let down again.

It’s confirmed that Jim Ward has resigned from LucasArts “for personal reasons”. He will be leaving the company in a couple of weeks. It has been said that Ward’s departure will not impact release dates or development schedules for any of LucasArts’ games. Thank goodness for that. I’m looking forward to the April 1st release date of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Remember slap bracelets? Well the’re back! Chocolate Agency has created an e-paper snap bracelet. The bracelet has the ability to carry an MP4 player. The surface is a thin, high contrast display. Also since it’s a snap bracelet it has no latches or buckles just a simple magnet to hold it on. Wait I have more. It doesn’t need batteries. Two words. Kinetic Energy. As you move your arm around it charges this puppy. So with the MP4 player you should be able to show e-books, photos and videos. Don’t forget it’s a watch too. The only thing missing is the headphone jack. Grrrr.
The e-paper slap bracelet was #8 on the list of Best of January 08 on Yanko Design.
Here is the complete list:

I heard about a new robot called Pleo. It’s a baby dinosaur robot and he’s actually pretty cute. He has touch sensors, motors, light detection and hearing. He’s also a learning robot. I looked all over to see what exactly he learns but couldn’t find anything. The articles just say that he learns from his environment and experiences. So what does this Pleo robot do? He walks around, sleeps, plays tug-a-war with you, blinks, wags his tail and makes some really cute dino sounds. The Pleo is upgradeable via SD card or USB. I just want to know if this guy is hackable. Now that sounds like fun. Okay, so you want to know how much? Do you really wanna know. $349. Ouch! Pleo was created by the co-creator of the Furby, Caleb Chung.
So is Pleo the must have toy for 2008? Only I know!
“If you’re not careful, your 360 may jettison you out an air-lock. The red ring of death is just the first sign that something has gone terribly wrong and not only will you not be playing any games, your 360 may rebel and simply kill you.” - Splitreason.com
I came across this shirt on Splitreason.com and fell in love. The comment was LOL funny too so I had to include it in my article. Splitreason.com has some pretty funny shirts you can buy. This one was going for $18.95. This site is just full of “gear for geeks and gamers.” So check it out before I red ring you!
The social music revolution
Last.fm is a site filled to the brim with music. It syncs to your iTunes and Windows media player to create a personalized station. Last.fm will play songs it thinks you may like. This will introduce you to new artists. I have Last.fm downloaded onto my PC and prefer playing this rather than my own library. One of my favorite things it provides is the bio of the artist. I like to have some insight into the singer’s life. This can sometimes make or break the song for me. I know, I’m that fickle. Also you can “start a station” by typing in a band. Last.fm will then start playing all songs linked up to that artist. You can share music, create playlists.
And for all the musicians out there, you can promote your music FREE on Last.fm. That’s not all! You can also get weekly airplay stats. Isn’t that incredible! Go already and sign up! And let me know what you think.
Digg the song. Or is it Digg this song? Whatever it is it’s not bad. Performed by Kina Grannis. This isn’t the first song she’s done. Just the most internet related. Check out some of Kina’s other songs on her YouTube page here.
So, the story doesn’t end here. She’s looking to make it to the Super Bowl. In a contest from Doritos. You play it. We air it.
It’s only 3 days until the voting ends (December 31st)! We are down to the top 10 bands. The winner will have their music video played during the super bowl AND a record deal with Interscope Records. So who should you vote for? Well, duh. The half Japanese(?) hot chick! Am I right? Kina Grannis is her name, being hot is her game. Really, she’s actually pretty talented. A guitar player and singer and did I say she was cute? She grew up in Mission Viejo, CA and recently moved to Austin, TX. Which by the way is only the best city EVER? So go already and check her out. Vote for her at www.crashthesuperbowl.com.
Michael Scott said it best; Wikipedia has the best possible information. Do some beg to differ? Will there be a banning of Wikipedia at school? I can understand why. The information on the editable online encyclopedia is unverified and may times be inaccurate. Teachers are encouraging students to steer clear of Wikipedia. But it’s so easy to use. I just can’t help myself. It’s my Vice. Wikipedia turns nice girls naughty. But it has EVERYTHING!
Okay, so Denise Gonzalez-Walker, wrote on the Seattle Post-Intelligencer’s education blog, “It’s a shame that the teachers and librarians quoted in the article didn’t take advantage of the situation—finding inaccurate information on Wikipedia—by having their students revise the Wikipedia site with their own research, or engage in broader discussions about how authority and truth will be staked out in new media.”
Personally, I’ve never edited anything on Wikipedia. What would I add? That’s where I get my facts. Moral of the story? Only Wikipedia knows.
