What is it with Nintendo and Sunday releases? Do they have something against Jesus? Either way Super Smash Bros Brawl hit retailers yesterday to much fan fare, and word on the street the game is good - or dare I say super! Also this week is Condemned 2, hopefully still chock full of creepy mannequins and dead birds.
If you are a movie fan, Best Picture Winner No Country for Old Men hits DVD and Blu-Ray tomorrow.

It appears the Xbox 360 version of the recently released Bully: Scholarship Edition isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. In fact, according to this 10 page thread at the GAF, the game is marred by slowdowns, texture bugs, audio pops, and just plain aweful playability. That’s right folks, a port of an almost 2 year old Playstation 2 title can’t keep up on next-gen hardware. Curse you emotion engine!
Luckily it looks like Rockstar hopes to address the issues, and like a kid in the principles office, they’ve blamed someone else - the QA Gremlines.
We have just become aware of the issues people are having with Bully Scholarship Edition on Xbox 360. It appears that some older 360s are experiencing framerate issues, freezes and other problems. You have our word that we never experienced any of this in QA - in any of our offices or at Microsoft. I am horrified, and we are now working around the clock to rectify this situation. Thanks to Neo-Gaf for bringing this matter to our attention. We love our games and put a huge amount of energy and care into making them all that they can be. We would never shove anything out the door - we never have and never will. We apologise to everyone affected for the inconvenience.
I didn’t realize that the Xbox 360 console had a processor upgrade? Seriously though folks, hopefully this stuff gets fixed ASAP, because what I hear - Bully is a Grade A game!

You want to know what you can spend your hard earned money on every week? Tired of pimping your sister out to buy the latest game only to find out it was released weeks ago? This is where The Weekly Release comes in. Every week we’ll tell you what’s new, and what to buy!
This week is highlighted by 3 titles. If you can’t guess which ones they are…well then perhaps you shouldn’t be buying them. If you want some serious cooperative gaming action, then you want EA’s Army of Two for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. If playing by yourself is more your game, perhaps you’ll want the throne room friendly God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PSP. And finally, if you like school girl outfits and kissing boys - well then Rockstar Games’ Bully: Scholarship Edition is right up your slingshot!

Unless you’ve been living in a nuclear bunker in fear of flying Wii-motes, you know Nintendo’s little gadget can be used for some pretty neat things. Well owners of the big black monolith, soon you will be able to track your face too! MTV’s Multiplayer Blog has a video and a small writeup on it. The good news is you won’t have to strap on a Wii-mote (eww..not like that), and you won’t have to wear goofy glasses either. All you’ll need is one all seeing Playstation Eye and your face.
So what can you DO with headtracking? Imagine playing a game of Rainbow Six Vegas, and instead of some fancy button combination to lean around a corner, you simply tilt your head. Looking left or right would be as simple as looking left or right in real life. Of course, there is a downside to this - if you look left to look left on the screen…well you are no longer looking at the screen! There’s no word yet on whether the technology will be used in any upcoming PS3 games, but as a proof of concept the potential is very high.
In other Playstation News, rumors are abound that the official Playstation Store will finally be seeing a much needed interface update. According to Kotaku, a revamped store will look more in line with the SingStore that’s already available to our friends in the European region. Considering the existing Playstation Store looks like a 2001 AOL Web-page, this is a good thing.
