The world of Papercraft is growing. Everyone seems to love the cute, light weight renditions of their favorite characters and games. I’ve compiled just a few samplings of what’s been happening lately in the ever expanding phenomenon called Papercraft. Whatever happened to origami? Nothing really, Papercraft is Origami. Origami is Papercraft. It’s just what the cool kids are calling it. Get hip to it Grandpa.
First there was Portal. A game many, including myself, esteem as one of the best, most innovative games of the year. TubbyPaws must have agreed.
Maybe one of the last games you would put on a list of top cute stuff. Well, a blogger by the name of TubbyPaws has changed all that with their Silent Hill papercraft.
This is how a paper Mario game should have looked. Right? I mean it’s paper, check. And it’s from Mario, check. Hence, Paper Mario. Whatever, it’s just cool.
Halo’s Master Chief Papercraft
While not exactly new, this Master Chief papercraft goes beyond the traditional blocky square box people and makes a paper Spartan as close to the real thing as you’re probably going to get.
Halo Pelican Dropship Papercraft
You can’t have Master Chief without his ride, right? Enter the lightest ship in the fleet. It’s the Halo Pelican Dropship. Pretty sweet huh? Just because it’s paper doesn’t mean it can’t not be cute. If that makes any sense.
A great site to visit for all your papercrafting needs is the Papercraft World blog. They’re the source for all the best and newest in papercraft models. Another good place for papercrafter’s is PaperKraft.net
