The hits just keep on coming for the PS3. If you have a Xbox 360 version of The Orange Box, you’ve been enjoying the beauty and greatness for a while now. It has been getting great reviews.

As with several other big titles PS3 owners will have to wait for their Orange Box. This is bad enough i think, come on another title you Sony boys have to wait for. At least when you get your version its gonna be great, right? Evidently not! On the website 1up.com they posted a preview of The Orange Box. Here’s a bit of the best part of the preview:

“After spending a significant amount of time with a near final version of the PS3 game, it’s apparent that the Half-Life games in this version suffer from a number of technical flaws, which at best merely hinder gameplay and at worst make the experience downright unplayable. Framerate is a consistent issue throughout the Half-Life series of games included in The Orange Box. One moment you’ll be cruising through the game at 30 frames per second and the next you’ll be enjoying a slideshow of series protagonist Gordon Freeman cruising down the river. However, Portal suffers from no such technical hiccups and is on its way to being a pitch-perfect port of the spatial reasoning exercise. Due to a server connection issue, we were unable to get any time with Team Fortress 2.”

Wow “downright unplayable” that’s not good. For a game that first off is the great value of 5 games in one, and second is 5 great games in one this is rough. I guess it doesn’t help that the founder of Valve Gabe Newell referred to the PlayStation 3 as “a waste of everybody’s time.”

Oh well another dent in the PS3 shell.

Thanks 1up
