You know the Xbox 360 updates we all get with each season in the year. Well, it looks like the fall update will bring with it a “new” feature for playing old games. Like the Sony’s PS3, where you can download a back catalog of old Playstation games, and the Wii’s Virtual Console with a number of old games available. Microsoft was feeling a little left out and maybe a bit of nostalgia, so they’ve decided to start adding a library of old Xbox games to the Xbox Live Marketplace for download. That’s right, regular Xbox games for download on Marketplace. Looks like 2 gig demos were only the tip of the iceburg.
The game list brings back fond memories of long ago. Including such classics as, Halo, Fable, Crimson Skies, Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex and Burnout 3.
Gamers can expect to pay about the same for an old Xbox game as a high priced Live Arcade title. That’s around 1200 Microsoft Points (roughly $15 in real cash money).
When does all this hit your 360? Expect it early in December, around the 4th.
Boom!
