We’ve already reported earlier this week on a fairly cheap HD DVD player for the Xbox 360 from Buy.com, now we get news from Crave that Walmart and Best Buy have a sweet deal on HD-DVD players too.

The player is the Toshiba HD DVD HD-A2. It’s only gonna be available at the physical locations, not online. Walmart will begin the sale starting this Friday, November 2nd, for $98.87. And for Best Buy the sale is already underway and has sold out online and only available for in-store sales at a slightly higher price of $99.99.

These prices mark the lowest price for any HD DVD player so far. If you’re looking for a BlueRay player instead, the cheapest Blu-Ray player is still the PS3 with it’s new lower price, also arriving Friday, November 2nd, for $399.99.

One of the best things about this sale is that HD DVD is still offering 5 free HD DVD’s with purchase of a new player. Just download this PDF, fill it out, print it, and send it in. Easy right? Well, all you get with the Playstation 3 Blu-Ray player is one free Blu-Ray disc.
