Call of Duty 4 is an amazing game. I can’t get enough of it. The best levels in the game are 2 sniping levels that take place in Chernobyl. In 1986 the Chernobyl nuclear power plant had a horrible accident and the resulting fire released a cloud of toxic radiation 100 times more potent than the first atom bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. The cloud moved over the town of Pripyat Ukraine.
As you sneak through the level your breath is taking away at how real it feels. The spooky feel of burnt out apartments and the abandoned swimming pool makes it the best level in the game, but how true to form is the COD4 level?
This article from The Above Domain is really great. The pictures are exactly the same as the game. Seeing these pictures and reading even more about the Chernobyl Power Plant accident really makes the level even better.

Sooooo….There’s this site called Viddler. I never heard of it until now. It’s a video sharing site, a lot like YouTube…and maybe even better. I see a lot of potential for this site.
“But Veda, why do you think it could be better than YouTube?” I knew you were going to ask. Well…come close…listin very carefully….You can comment on the time line. Yes, comment like you do on YouTube but these are like “LIVE comments” that pop up at the bottom of the screen on cue as the video plays. So you can comment on a specific part of the video. (Remember Pop-Up Video?) You have to check it out to really know what I’m talking about. But wait, that’s not the only thing. You can also add your advertisements on the videos. You do this through tags. Viddler will match up your advertisements to the tags that are in the timeline. So your advertisements will only show on relevant videos. Also, you only pay for your ads when someone actually clicks on the advertisement. Pay-Per-Click is what they call it. Pretty sweet huh? So check it out at www.viddler.com

The White Stripes must be huge PS3 fans. Rock Band dropped last week and people have been rocking hard ever since. But in a game that features “BAND” in its title, PS3 owners are having a hard time with the “BAND” part. The game allows for 2 guitars to be played, one regular guitar and one bass. The game only comes with one guitar so its supposed to work with other guitar controllers. The Fender guitar controller that comes with the game works fine, but when trying to use another guitar like the Les Paul or SG from GH3, they cannot. Xbox 360 owners aren’t claiming any problems with the controllers though. But hey who needs a bass guitar anyways? Am I right Jack White?

The new Dewmocracy video (Mountain Dew) is incredible! Visit Dewmocracy, they are asking for our help to create a new Dew bottle, A new Dew flavor and SAVE THE WORLD.
But you’ll have to play the Dew games to do this, it consists of 7 chambers. Travel through these Chambers and complete a series of tasks and challenges. Now, this is the fun way to create a new drink. For example, my first chamber was to speak to the Great Turtle who asked me series of questions then I had an option to choose a flavor. My choice was Cranberrry Raspberry with a boost of Ginseng. One game in the same chamber is a little like minesweeper and the next was driving a cart on a rail while staying clear of falling stalactites. Yes it was cheesy but I’m up for any game you give me. The line is from a little local band I used to listen to. They may be no more but the line still holds true. The recent ad campaign for Need For Speed : Pro Street must have heard that song and decided to go with it. There have been some pictures of 2 smoking hot blonde models in front of a Ferrari floating around. It was EA’s new marketing campaign, but now it is just a mistake. An EA spokesperson said :
“We regret that these images slipped through the proper EA approval process,” said a spokesperson for the publisher, speaking to GamesIndustry.biz. “They were not appropriate for our brand. The original site has been taken down this morning.”
With the recent photos of a smoking hot Polish model with various Xbox 360 accessories, and now these photos, it would seem that they know what the biggest chunk of gamers want….. HOT CHICKS!! I had no interest in NFSPS but with the pictures at least I thought about the game for a minute. Don’t say your sorry EA you knew what you were doing and quite frankly THANK YOU.
